The Story Behind

EAMC

Built from lived experience. Driven by purpose. Committed to closing the vulnerability gap in aesthetic medicine.

Lived Experience

There is a moment in aesthetic medicine that rarely gets named.

It happens after certification.

Before confidence.

In rooms where questions go unasked.

It’s the moment professionals realize they are expected to perform — before they feel prepared.

I know this gap because I lived it.

I entered aesthetic medicine after working as a public health nurse and in retirement homes — with years of clinical responsibility, patient care, and accountability behind me.

I was certified.
I was competent.
And I was not confident.

There were questions I didn't feel safe asking. Skills I wanted to deepen before performing. And an unspoken expectation to "just know" once certification was complete.

Training did not always equal readiness.
And in medicine, what goes unspoken carries consequences.

Patients
feel it.

Professionals
carry it.

The industry rarely acknowledges it.

Our Purpose

Mission & Vision

Mission

To close the vulnerability gap in aesthetic medicine by delivering high-level education, collaborative learning environments, and leadership that allow professionals to practice with confidence, responsibility, and integrity.

Vision

To raise the standard of aesthetic medicine in Canada through an education-first ecosystem rooted in safety, transparency, and belonging — with a long-term vision to scale Nurses and Needles programs across regions and medical disciplines.

EAMC exists because ignoring this gap is no longer acceptable.
We believe preparedness is not optional. We believe silence is not neutral.

The Origin

EAMC began as Nurses and Needles, but it quickly became clear that what was forming was not an event or a nurse-only platform.

It was infrastructure.

Infrastructure for preparedness, standards, and leadership — designed to formalize what had been missing between certification and real-world responsibility at a national level.

Kimsy recognized that the challenges she faced weren’t unique to her. They were systemic — affecting countless professionals who felt the weight of responsibility without adequate preparation. This realization became the foundation of EAMC.

The Belle Suite — Where Practice Meets Purpose

As a working cosmetic nurse injector, clinic founder, and nurse entrepreneur, Kimsy leads from lived experience — openly naming the silent fears, cultural barriers, and gaps in preparedness that directly impact safety and confidence across the industry.
